But sometimes we receive a truth that doesnt quite "fit" what we have always
believed as the truth. Like when Galileo (???? maybe him whoever..person
is beside the point) proposed the earth was round. It was against everything
he "knew" as truth. It was mathematically plausible yet defied present
dogma. Before he could go around telling everyone "hey people the world isnt
flat...its round" he had to prove it inside himself and settle the battle
there. He desperately wanted to let go of old apparently false beliefs but
it wasnt easy. Thats kinda how i think we feel sometimes. especially as it
realtes to Ego (well at least for me anyway). I started looking at the world
in a differnt light...it slowly seemed that too much was based on the
"outside" and the way we perceived them to be rather than the way they
actually were. And how it became easier for me to "see through" these many
masks worn by people and in advertisements. As I started to think about
these things I'd try to discuss it with friends and associates and most said
i worried too much or looked too deeply into things. It was like i had
discovered the earth was round and noone really cared or wanted to believe.

I just think that we tend to keep it inside til we are sure of what we are
found..and finding people to talk to (in relation to K) is not the easiest
thing.
