Yes: I think that this applies to a lot of things, not just egolessness.
As Ken Wilber pointed out in The Atman Project, these things can be
viewed as a circle of evolution: you start off in the oceanic state,
without ego, you develop and ego, later you integrate your ego and
return to the oceanic state *with* your ego and all its benefits.
