Dude,

I'm here to tell you, as someone who has experienced psychedelic experiences
with AND without psychedelic drugs, you are not speaking for everyone.
Conscious breathing, breath control, and even unconscious breathing changes
(i.e., as in an anxiety attack) can and will act as an agent "causing extreme
changes in the conscious mind."

Conscious breath control vary rarely leads to vomiting, ER visits, or
permanent psychoses as often as psychedelic drugs. Alas, conscious breath
control doesn't seem to enjoy the reputation for absurd hilarity either. :)
