Hi Luzbug

Thank you for your reply.

When you said:

"When you feel the wave of anger and frustration coming on and the mind
beginning to go in circles, as soon as you become aware ot it, begin to
observe the effects the emotion is having on your body."..."Remain aware
that this is a temporary state...which will arise and pass away...just
observe the process."

it sounds like what a Zen master would say. I sounds like real good
advice.

I think the problem I have is seeing the "frustration coming on and the
mind beginning to go in circles." I tend to get caught up in the
process and get carried away in the emotional storm.

It seems the key is to see the emotional storm coming, observe it and
not get caught up in it. The key thing is to see it coming and know
that, I am not this emotion and that I can choose to observe it and let
it go.

I have also heard it said that what we tell ourselves, our internal
dialog, effects whether the emotion will become anger or not.

It would seem we should tell ourselves things that are true, believable
and most important non anger producing, perhaps even calming.

Thanks for your post

Richard
