That may not actually be the case. A friend told me that he was
solicited for a donation on behalf of a "home for prematurely senile
Rebirthers." Being a Rebirther himself, he was quite alarmed and
contacted Leonard Orr (Rebirthing's originator), who verified that
there is indeed a high incidence of premature senility among
Rebirthers. If this is true, then it suggests to me that spending too
much time away from mundane consciousness may not be such a good
idea -- no matter how you accomplish it.
