They do not induce a psychedelic experience, but they are able to induce a
spiritual experience (which is a subclass of psychedelic experiences). And
more importantly, they can create a continuous state of spiritual
awareness, while drugs create a short peak experience, whose after-effects
and insights one enjoys for some time, after which one starts to forget. K
doesn't let you forget, it's always there, forcing you to walk the
spiritual path. I am talking about yoga here, not crystals etc.

Or those who just want to have fun and see the colors, maaaaaan. Like, way
trippy :-). I guess it's far easier for at least younger people to take up
drugs, which happen to be at least marginally cool, rather than taking up
something as uncool and lame as yoga, which is usually seen as a pastime
of middle-aged women, at least in pHinland. And, drugs have a social
component too.

Experience of divinity has nothing to do with life of alternate realities.
I have understood that mushrooms are more prone to cause this short of
hallucinatory experience (second bardo hallucinations, as Leary's version
of Tibetan book the dead would have it).

Have you tried HBWR seeds? It's not self-analysis at all, but neither is
it alien entities or whatever. I couldn't care less about encountering any
"beings", probably because I never have.

Quite sweeping generalization.

I had a Samadhi experience on my first trip, with HBWR. My k was not at
all active at the time. In fact I knew nothing of spirituality.

Personally, I wouldn't dare to try the combination. I see that k creates a
non-standard state of brain chemistry, and I won't be the one playing with
it (as was the case with Jon, I think). Nice to hear of someone who has
had the guts, though. Me, I see meditating with my k active screws me up
enough already, so I'll just settle with that :-).
