Subject: [K-list] Rebounding etc

Something I have found useful lately. Years ago I heard meditation teacher Master Charles suggesting rebounding (the small trampoline thing) to activate the sacral pump and move energy. In my experience even 5 minutes gentle bouncing does wonders. From the point opposite the navel on the back down the spine gets to move, the hips move and energy moves as it will. Seems to save a lot of hassles with feeling 'up and out' of the lower chakras. There is a device around which wobbles the spine side to side while you lie down and enjoy - costs a lot more than a simple rebounder. I have heard reports from acquaintances that their health has improved a lot from using the spine wobbler thing. My intuition was that they were 'meditation causalities in a sense - having great experiences for a while and then years of bad health. No device is necessary of course -yoga and chi gung have exercises that do the same by moving the hips and lower back. Seems like the K reservoir fills up and with more juice. Saves from spiritual eunuch syndrome.
Sometimes with all good intentions and aspirations we can still manage to wreck ourselves. I am sure the high beings can do it all with the mind and intention - ie circulate and balance energy with the quiet mind. That's lovely but if there are some hassles around it can get unstable real quick.
Also, some meditation work can just be dissociation, not transcendence in oneness. The remedy can include association - getting one's attention into things. In hypnosis for a subject who is habitually dissociated the direction of trance might be into association - getting into helpful moods, physical sensations etc. There is a delightful story about Milton Erickson, the psychiatrist and hypnosis guru, and the patient who thought he was Jesus. If I recall correctly Erickson accepted that man's reality but looked for 'what's missing' - he engaged the man in discussion about Jesus's vocation as a carpenter. The man then began working in the hospital workshop making stuff and began a recovery. Just an illustration.

The world of hypnosis has a lot of interesting stuff for the meditator.

Just some thoughts on the direction of balance.
