I agree anger is just like fire, which can quickly get out of control.  
And as you say fire destroys "the person, who indulges in it."  
 
It is amazing how frustration can quickly become anger, which releases  
hatred for the object of frustration, which becomes rage, which can 
become violent and destructive.
 
I believe there is a passage in the Bhavagavad Gita about this.  
 
I have read several books on Zen.  It seems Zen has a lot to say about 
controling anger by controling one's thoughts.  The only problem is that 
one needs to be superhuman to control one's thoughts.  At least it seems 
that way to me.  
 
Any ideas anyone?
