Thank you for responding.

The handouts were offered by Lesley Richardson to all of us on the k
list. It is my understanding that these handouts are about preventing
anger from turning to violence. These handouts were as I understand
origonally handed out at the Columbine High School in response to the
terrible tragedy there.

Lesley if you are on line today maybe you could tell us more about
this.
Jacques, your answer about "True Buddhists say that your enemies are
helping you to escape the reincarnation wheel" is most interesting.

While the situation at Columbine High School is an extreme, we are all
subject to situations in which we too could violently explode in an
angry furry. This could take the form of a heated verbal argument,
using profanity, refusing to cooperate, or perhaps a fist fight.

The situation I am thinking about is a company that for about 6 years
has been oppressing its work force as a deliberate policy to induce the
workers to leave early. The compamy also will for the most part no
longer promote current workers from within. Many of the jobs have
become more demanding. The workers are more and more at each other's
throats. I have the misfortune of working for this company.

I have found myself in several very unpleasant situations in the past 2
weeks. My situation is that I will be able to leave in 11 months. It
seems more like 11 years. Like the other's I too am angry about the
situation. I am interested in using my anger in a positive way to make
a better life for myself. What I find freighting is how quickly and
easily it is too loose control. This is what I am asking you about.

How does one prevent anger from flashing out of control? Do you have
any ideas?

I wonder what the Buddhist and other traditional Faiths would say. I
know the Budhhist believe that no human is an enemy. I think that could
be true up to a point. It is worth considering. Could the company,
which is acting as an enemy, be helping me and others get off "the
reincarnation wheel?"

Jacques, you have given me something to think about, but I still need to
have a method of dealing with this anger to use it in a positive
constructive way.

Any ideas from you or anyone else would be most appreciated.

Richard
