Even re-labeling what society has ignorantly and maliciously labeled
"drugs" as entheogens and plant sacraments is a revolutionary act. The
planet is doing her own work to heal itself. I believe we are just
riding along. These substances are as the base of nearly all the great
thinkers and the great thinking done this century. We now know even
Carl Sagan was a pot-head. Even the sex industry is a major shaker and
mover of the medium which we are now using. I think it is a divine
irony that this is so. It pains me that because of our backward
society, adults cannot mentor the young in the use of plant sacraments
as so-called primitive societies do, but that is the way things are.
The blind are leading the blind among the young right now. Perhaps the
internet will solve that problem. Mushrooms are a very reliable way of
catalyzing one's opening up. Though it is illegal, whoever is drawn to
this path will find a way. We as adults. however, should tell the
truth. These substances really work.

I tend to agree with you but also everything must be used in moderation and
with respect. I think part of our country's problem with drug abuse and
viloence related to such abuse, in part, stems from the fact that most of our
people don't understand how to use the things which they ingest or simply use
them for the wrong reasons. I have often heard the arguement that cocaine
and other derivatives should be legal on the basis that they are derivavtives
of a plant, the coca plant, and were once used by native americans. The
differnce between the indians and most people here is that the indians
exercised moderation and respect. The things which we ingest can't be used
carelessly, as they are usually the vehicles which bring us to the inner most
part of ourselves and within those experiences are the potential to alter our
lives forever. Places such as amsterdam have to some extent been taught
respect for their drugs of choice. It is proven that once something becomes
readily available, such as cannavis in amsterdam, the desire to "play" with
such things is deminished. Most people can equate this to turning 21.
Remember the thrill that the thought of drinking brought. It suddenly lost
most of its appeal when you actually turned 21 right? Cannabis and other
such stuff is around the people all their lives and therefore don't have a
strong desire to do large amounts of it in unsafe environments.

We are all made up from the earth; because of that we are all connected.
some people however ignore these connections or just dont believe that we
have them.

These are just my opinions though.....

<< I feel that psycedelics are catalysts to spiritual evolution. They tell
us,
or show us, that there is more to the material world that meets the eye.
Thus perhaps lessening the need to be so materialistic, lessening the burden
on spaceship earth. Many of the people I know who have taken mind expanding
substances seem to be more earth concious, why? Take for instance
mushrooms, when you injest this fungi, you are in essence communing with
nature, the plantary matrix, this god source, and it can download info to
you. The plants (planets) survival is dependent on humans expanded
conciounes, on humans ability to creatively think itself out of adverse
situations (ie. rainforest deforestation, species extinction, racial
 tension)

Why did tribes living in the rainforest who have used mind expanding
substances for millenia, not overpopulate and wipe out their rainforest
habitat? Why is their so little or no crime in these tribal communities?

WHat's it like in the Netherlands? Is it a peaceful place, or full of hate
and crime? Is the vibe their good? How is Amsterdam?

 I think of these things....
