i am no expert in this area and there are probably a few who will shoot me
down in flames for giving careless advice but u sound very scared and this
is not a good thing to be, generally speaking.
My own experience of what people call kundalini has come through sahaja
yoga, which is a form of meditation practice (sahaja=innate or within one,
yoga=union). i have only been using it for a few months, but have found it
to be most excellent. it is a blissful and beautiful practice and i have
experienced none of the unpleasant symptoms of kundalini described on this
list, though i have experienced many of the beneficial ones. sometimes, when
furtively lurking/learning, i wonder if we're talking about the same thing
when we use the word kundalini (maybe i have it all to come):)). none of the
people who i have met, who use sahaja yoga have spoken of unpleasant side
effects either, apart from an uncomfortable heat which i have experienced
and this was explained to me as being my chakras clearing, and sure enough
this did pass, giving way to the cool breeze. now i have been practicing for
a little while, i don't even experience this problem.

i'm not saying that kundalini is not potentially dangerous. i'm sure it
could be. So are cars, but if you go to a good driving school, you can learn
to drive well and, hopefully avoid accidents. It would be a shame if you
never went anywhere coz you thought cars were dangerous. it would also be a
shame if you took no notice of the warnings and went joy riding, hit a brick
wall and ended up hospitalised. it would be a shame too if i carried on any
further with this turgid analogy, but you get my drift?
it sounds like you are scaring yourself silly, messing about with something
that you(and just about everyone else) don't understand and it'd be nice to
meet and talk to some supportive people about it.
i would recommend checking out Sri Mataji Nirmala Devi and the sahaja yoga
posse. i went along to them b4 anyone else when i needed to start something
supervised coz they're free and the truth is always free. there's already
enough people making easy money out of gullible, hungry spiritual seekers as
it is.
sahaja yoga is an international thing, hopefully they'll have people running
sessions near you. check them out on sahajayoga.org
and enjoy yourself;)))))))
lots of love
giddi

ps: technical apologies; i'd like to have made that a link that u can click
on but i don't know how yet, and i'm sorry for the v.late reply, i only get
2 use this at work and always have about 150 emails 2 read through by the
time i get on the computer. anyway, laterz
