I think the blockages are continuously forming because we live in a modern
society where stress is a daily dosage of unwanted nuisance. However,
constant cleasing or dissloving does help with the blockage situation. My
personal experience is that I have been able to dissolve some old and not to
old blockages and they do not come back. Some of my "programmed behaviors"
are eradicted because of this cleaning/dissloving process. How often you do
the practice and your ability to let go is a major factor to the
effectiveness of the cleaning process.

According to Taoist meditation (Frantzis), there are eight levels of energy.
  (The Eight Bodies) The first is the physical body, which is most dense
one, the second is the chi body, and the third the emotional body. When a
person does cleanig or dissloving, if he/she can disslove the blockage
outward and outside of their emotional body, then the emotional blockage
will not come back. That was what I meant.
