Hi Maureen.. I have to agree with you about our souls needing time for
reflection in between lives, most probably. Though, of course, any of these
theories discussed can be the right one...or maybe just the right one for us
individually? Just as the theory that the afterlife is what we perceive or
imagine it will be. Thoughts are things, etc. Let me get to the point of
why I feel we take time for reflection in between incarnations. I have been
regressed a couple of times and have also regressed myself during meditations
and dreams and what I remember most from one particular regression session
was that as I was brought to the time of my death by the narrator (regressor)
in three different lives, I would feel myself lifting from my body and great
freedom. Whether it was a wonderful incarnation or a painful one, the end
results were the same. I was three times met by my soulmate, guide, angel,
or however you want to perceive them. It was another entity that held my
hand and we flew through the Heavens, toward a great light, and it was a
reflective time.. a time of learning, preparation, and peace.

Just my own experience :)
