HI HILLARY: l think this is a good poll---it touches on one of the most
difficult issues l've had to deal with in my k process. l can appreciate that
many are reticent to publicly discuss sexual concerns, but as l recently
said, k has left me with little pride! Thank you for asking.....jerry
 <<
  1. How many of us feel that our K awakening had anything to do with
celibacy. (celibacy being defined as having no sexual partner for an
extended length of time) ))))))) l was definitely not celibate prior to
my awakening. l was always extremely romantic, strongly attracted to women
and had a high sex drive (altho not that sexually active).

  2. How many of us became intentionally celibate after K awakening.
))))))) After my k awakening in 1992 at ajna chakra my sexual potency
progressively diminished to the point at which celibacy was not voluntary but
was forced upon me. Thus l have not been with a woman for 7 yrs, which has
been a major adjustment for me in that l am still highly attracted to women
and would otherwise like to be in a relationship. As it is, it's hard to
imagine a relshp that would work around my k process.
  3. For those who are sexually active, do you find that sexual activity
affects your K energy one way or another? )))))))) Definitely. ln my case
any sexual activity would be masturbation which has become increasingly rare.
Orgasms would be weaker, would often take place at ajna, and result in
feeling like energy is being released at ajna. After orgasm l would normally
feel headachy and generally not well for days. So l feel my system has been
telling me for many years that sex of any kind is off limits for me and l've
had the clear feeling that in some way k is diverting my sexual energy for
the purpose of breaking through at ajna which is where l still feel the most
concentration of energy.

Any other thoughts on the subject? >> ))))))) ln my earlier years on the
spiritual path l often felt a conflict between my passionate, romantic and
sensual nature and my strong desire for spiritual growth. lt has felt like
part of the agenda of k has been to force a change in this dynamic, and l
guess l should be grateful! But l'm not quite there yet, altho l am working
on it (LOL!). lt seems to me that just as sex is a body-mind sensation, so
is k in one sense, and that what many k experiencers are doing on one level
is replacing the sex-body-mind sensation with the k-body-mind sensation. (l
have been unable to do this for the most part because thus far my k process
has largely yielded distress on the physical level, not bliss, altho that
seems to be starting to change.) On this level some would say we all have
the same challenge: to ultimately transcend the body-mind process, whether it
involves sexual bliss or k bliss. As for me, l wouldn't know---l haven't
gotten that far yet. jerry >>
