Dear list,

First of all,
thank you very much to all who took time to reply to
my rather ligh hearted, but honestly meant
questions. :)

When reading your mails it came to me that all K
activations are different, yet, the outward face of
it, how other ppl react to it, are remarkably similar.
So are the thoughts of those who receive these
reactions from family, friends and colleagues.

Some of you talked about certain things being
"self-secret" and that is something I can understand.
Everybody perceive the world (maya ? ;) ) from their
own perspective and when something or someone comes
along to distort that view, ppl either react with
curiosity or disbelief. I suspect even more negative
reactions such as anger and fear are not far away in
such situations.

I wonder what can be done about this phenomenon, but
I suspect it's all down to ego and that is hard to do
much about.

Well, in the spirit of anti-statistics ;) I give you
the poll results:

On the question
"Have you ever told anyone about the K symptoms ?"
6 had done so, 1 had not.
Of the 6 who had told anyone, most had first and
foremost mentioned it to their family.

On the question
"How did they react ?"
3 had received positive reactions or no negative
reactions and 3 had received disbelief or negative
reactions.

Negative reactions ranged from amusement and disbelief
to disinterest or incomprehension.

On the question
"Have you ever told your phycisian ?"
4 had not, 2 had and 1 gave no answer.
Of the 2 who had told their physician, 1 had received
"the silence" and 1 had received interest in the subject.

On the question
"What kind of changes have you had to do in your life ?"
2 had changed jobs, 2 stated they needed more time out
doors, 3 stated they needed more time alone, 2 did
hatha yoga on a regular basis, 3 did some kind of
meditation (except from being outdoors or alone)
on a regular basis.
(All participants gave more than one reply on this
question.)

In addition, one had gone through a divorce due to
personal changes, one had received negative reactions
from life partner and one had not mentioned the
changes to her partner.

It is clear that the K process, apart from causing a physical impact, also causes a lot of change in
outlook and life style. (Surprise, surprise ! ;) )
which in most cases is hard for surroundings to
understand and participate in.

I wish I had some encouraging and uplifting things to
say about the problems K causes in the interface with
other human beings, but having not told anyone myself,
I find myself quite unable to :/ .

Other than something I coincidentally read in a
book today about female personal development
"Women who runs with wolves" (not a personal favorite,
but I liked this quote and quote from faulty memory):
"As much as
individuals who have held different views than the
common consensus have been perceived as a threat,
it such individuals who have contributed
the most to the renewal and changes of their societies.
If other ppl tells you you are being disruptive,
difficult, an outsider, a maverick, a renegade,
a stubborn or selfish woman,
then you know you are on the right way.
If they don't, then it is time you did something
about that." ;))

Thanks again ! :)

Best regards,

Amanda.
