Subject: [K-list] Karma, Satan and Kabbalah

Satan is a concept the xian plagerised, misunderstood and
antropomorphized. Satan means the Tempter or Master of Folly or Accuser
(Hebrew is a language of multiple meanings.).In the original Jewish mythos
he is an angel. An angel of course is an internal Principle.

Satan is an angel. Not a fallen angel but an acting angel {See book of
Job) Satan's job is threefold. As it says in Gemorah - He is the Yetser
Horah, he is Satan, he is the Angel of Death. The Yetser Horah (Form of
Evil) is man's inclination to Evil that is his inclanation to ignore the
inner voice which tells him what the Upper will is. Good and Evil are
measured by the upper Will. So, for instance, if someone is trying to
murder you, the Upper Will is to kill him first which is Good. (notice
this is diametrically opposed to "turning the other cheek").

The main Yetzer Horah is "the boiling of the blood". The main tool of the
Yetser Horah is Imagination. These are not Evil per se and the Yetser
Horah is also not Evil. Only man can be evil. The Yetser Horah is
basically man's Animal Nature. Itself it is not Evil and can actually be a
stronger force for Good if used properly than the Spiritual Nature.
However the Animal/Emotive nature needs the guidance of the intellect in
order to channel it properly.

After convincing the person to do bad, the Yetzer Horah puts on his Satan
hat and "goes upstairs" to the upstairs Court there he presents the deeds
and gets a verdict. Then he turns into the Angel of Death and "comes back
down" to carry out the judgement. So this triple Angel is also something
like Karma.

All this is meant to be taken in an ALLEGORICAL manner.

Another allegorical way of explaining the above is what it says in
Kabbalah that the Air of Heaven and the Air of Hell are always surrounding
us. When a person does a good deed it is written upon the air of Heaven. A
bad deeds is written upon the Air of Hell. (there is a similar concepts in
the Eastern religions of the Akashik records)

A full explanation would be even longer than my series. But the main
point is that the Kabbalah does not see Satan as a guy with horns. Also
Karma, rather than an impersonal Law is seen As a conscious Process of the
Upper Court.

Of course all Laws are viewed by Kabbalah in this way. How could there be
a Law without a Lawgiver and and a Law Enforcer ?
