On 1999/03/29 19:16, cassandra posted thus to the K-list:

Hello Connie.....
Tibetan Buddhism has a practice known as dream yoga or lucid dreaming-->( it is when one becomes aware within a dream---.that they
are dreaming)........
Ever have that happen....? Your dreaming.....and all of a sudden something doesnt seem
right.......and you realize you are dreaming.........?
The Oneironauts at Stanford University(who are to sleep... as astronauts
are to space).... Have turned lucid dreaming into somewhat of a science..........
When one can master *lucid dreaming*.......
He can awaken within a dream....and take control...... change the dream as it unfolds.......
It is said to be a cure for nightmares,a vehicle for emotional and physical healing......and a method of seeking advice from the gods and
other realms......... Heres a link.....in case your still curious........

ABOUT LUCID DREAMING
Lucid Dreaming means dreaming while knowing that you are

right now? To find out, and for an introduction to the topic, see our Lucid Dreaming FAQ.

ABOUT THE LUCIDITY INSTITUTE, INC. The Lucidity Institute is dedicated to
the advancement of research on the nature and potentials of consciousness and to the application of the results of this
research to the enhancement of human health and well-being.
TOOLS FOR LUCID DREAMING
The Institute sells books, tapes, scientific publications and lucidity induction devices. See the
Lucidity Institute Catalog for details (or call 1-800 GO LUCID).

a lucid dream in the laboratory. Call or email for details (+1-650-321-9969 or researchATnospamlucidity.com) and
fill out the Lucidity Institute mailing list form.

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT...
In a dream Nasrudin saw himself being counted out coins. When there were nine silver pieces in his hand, the invisible donor stopped giving
them. Nasrudin shouted, "I must have ten!" so loudly that he woke himself up. Finding that all the money had disappeared he closed his eyes again and murmured,
"All right, then, give them back--I'll take the nine."
Nasrudin is a mirror in which you see yourself. Want to see more?
