Subject: [K-list] re prozac

I too was taking prozac about 4 years ago for 3 months, it helped me
tremendously. I was married to a man in central Florida who would most
likely have had me committed to a mental institution if I had not been
given a prescription. The therapist was wonderful, she was very
open-minded. There's a great metaphysical bookshop in Orlando called
Spiral Circle, she recommended that I go there and look around, listen
to the musical tapes. I chose The Violet Flame, bought some incense. The
shop has a detached garage, went to yoga classes there. It helped to
have a therapist like her. I don't recall her last name but her first
name is Christine. She had at that time an office by Sea World on
Central Florida Parkway and an office in downtown Orlando. IMNSHO, she
was fantastic along with wonderful friends (TG was and still is a very
dear friend, thanks sweet pea!) and A Course in Miracles.

At the risk of boring you all to tears, I will continue typing my
history. I divorced in '97, we were not good for each other at all, made
the right decision for sure. I moved to SC, my daughter had moved here,
she married and gave birth to my grandchild in '93, I wanted to live
close to them. A few months before moving here, I had driven up for
Thanksgiving. She had miscarried 2 weeks previously, but I was shown the
word cancer when I looked at her. I didn't want to believe it but made
plans to move sooner than planned. She had gone to a doctor who tried to
tell her that she was fine; I encouraged her to go to another doctor and
he found that she had ovarian cancer. She got a second opinion and it
was verified. That was 2 years ago next month, she was 25 at that time.
She has taken radiation treatments and is in remission. However, she did
lose a kidney. She is on a waiting list to have a transplant. We thought
for a while we might lose her but she really is doing much better. She
has checkups on a regular basis, great positive doctor who is sincere
about healing. So to make a long story short, I believe in both
traditional and alternative medicine, what makes the difference is
attitude. Will sign off for now, toodles!

Love y'all,
