Hi Chris...

This was wonderful advice based on your experience. Thanks for sharing.
Our internal dialogue CAN get quite intense and out of hand if we grasp on
to what is said/thought, just as it can while in a talk with another. I see
that this is but another way to hold on to the fear/ego. You said it well.
Thanks for the reminder.

Most of my 'aggravating' internal dialogue has to do with planning. And what
is planning but worrying about the future... (fear).

When we are talking to another (or ourself) that is fearful, angry, even with
one that is ill/sick (another form of fear), etc.... when we just stay in a
place of love instead of fear -- focusing on the love instead of their anger
or illness, not having to do or say anything, miracles occur.

MEDITATION

Meditation is like speaking with others...

Do you listen to what they say?
Do you observe and watch their words?
Are you always interrupting?
Does your mind wander to what you will say next?
Do you really care what they have to say?

What is it you want to occur in your meditation?
Is it to learn to listen?
Then give the gift of listening to others.

Is it to quieten your mind?
Then give the gift of truly listening
to what others have to say
without interruption.

If you practice in *real life*
what you want in your meditation,
then that is what you will get
easily when you sit with Self!
