Subject: [K-list] Mayan 'pach than' - to speak in reverse
From: Llewellyn

On 1999/01/31 21:15, Llewellyn posted thus to the K-list:

Now what does this have to do with kundalini - in brief this is a further
exploration of the Mayan words for kundalini - K'UTANLILNI and
K'UTHANLILNI - pretty boring I suppose -

{delete message if not interested - }

According to Hunbatz Men - the Mayan religion/sacred science predated the
ancient Indian culture and that the Naga Maya brought their culture to India
around 2700 B.C. (or perhaps much earlier) - (I haven't checked to see how
that fits in with the earliest vedic records of kundalini)
Thus in some regards the Mayan record may be a more original attempt at
recording the k phenomena and might reveal some new insights. I know that
often in science or engineering for example to go back to the first
articles, books whatever on a topic often provides worthwhile insights.

All of this material is excerpted form the book "Secrets of Mayan
Science/Religion" by Hunbatz Men; so relies on his knowledge of and
interpretation of the ancient Mayan glyphs and ways -

According to Hunbatz Men the Maya have several forms of speaking - 'than'
to speak; common or popular speech, 'pach than' to speak in reverse and 'ca
pach than' to speak twice in reverse. (?? I guess this is Lew speak :)))

So the constituent parts of K'UTANLILNI, for example, can be examined in
reverse -

K'U becoming Uk' - which means to take in swallows - or to take in small
doses - so K'u is "God", "pyramid", the inverted form, uk', means to take in
small dose - thus according to Men's interpretation we must absorb this god
energy in small doses,

K'UL inverted to Luk' - swallow in sense of being absorbed by - from
Hunbatz Men "In many locations luk' is exemplified by a man and a woman
coming out of the mouth of a serpent representing Quetzalcoatl or Kukulcan
and is viewed as 'the one absorbed by knowledge' -

tan inverted to nat - nat means mount - tan means place - so for
everything we swallow we must "mount" it in its place - looking at luk' and
tan together says we need to mount or secure the sacred energy we have
absorbed or as I sometimes in the past have said must in-corp-orate the
knowledge within my very being - Men says this should be done by
meditation??? Not sure why he says that.

Well this probably has bored everybody to tears those who have bothered to
follow this arcane reasoning -

just one more observation the Mayans introduced three important
symbols/sounds to the rest of the world - the T (sacred tree), the G (spiral
like from milky way) and the O - oh TG - hmm - is this a coincidence? well
it is late -

Somehow aspects of this Mayan kundalini seem to ring true to me - not sure
why - perhaps also says something about that now popular issue of reverse
speech where one plays talk backwards to pick out words - supposedly picks
up hidden meanings???

Well I have shared enough of this stuff - I'm probably the only one who
finds this topic fascinating - but interestingly I can only swallow this in
small bites - as I absorb and say does this make sense - are there any
ramifications to these concepts - do I want to try to fit this into my
framework and if so how does it fit - etc etc. I guess the questions we
all ask when exposed to new material - 'we all follow our own way' so why
attempt sharing thoughts and perspectives at all -

peace and balance,
Llewellyn

P.S. note that 'lil' - vibration inverts to 'lil' - this indicates an
absolute truth - vibration is vibration {I have some doubts here - an over
simplification probably}
can't seem to leave this alone
P.P.S - checked an Indian philosophy book - the Vedic period is placed at
between 2500 and 600 B.C. - seems likely that Mayan thought influenced
Indian and other eastern thought - - perhaps interesting was I taught this
in school?
