I perfectly agree with you. In the "end" all paths are left beyond.

But, what about getting to the "end"? It needs a significant discipline
and positive guidance of a Satguru to lead somebody on the path. My
point is that as far as Sadhana is considered there is very little
guidance required from the Guru in case of Siddha Yoga and so is the
Safest and most effective of all. Of course, there is no difference
between the inner Self and a Sadguru, when it comes to directing the
Sadhana. But, in case of other Yoga's, where instructing and
understanding & following the instructions of the Guru are necessitated,
the Sadhana may not be as safe or as effective.

In your case you could succeed through your Prnayama practices. In
Siddha Yoga, it is a converse process - you are "blessed" and the Shakti
will spontaneously cause Pranayama in you amongst other experiences.
Pranayama through effort or guidance of a half-baked Guru may not only
be ineffective, but may be dangerous. Same is the case with other
"practices" such as meditation, worship, Asanas or Mantra-Japa.

But, all said and done, as you have said, goal and so the end is same
for all Yoga Sadhanas and the variations in the paths make little
difference.
