Dear Paul:

Really loved your message (below). I've only been on the list one week,
but I must say this was the most readable thing you have written in a
long time. You gave a first-person account of a real experience in
concrete, physical terms, without a lot of theorizing. I found it very
moving and very emotional, a palpable sense of wonder, a real "aha!"
insight into oneself. Thank you.

I could really relate to your story. I also used to waste a lot of
energy trying to please others, and worrying more about their happiness
than they did. Kind of a co-dependency thing, thinking I was responsible
for keeping other people happy. As a result, I was often insincere,
ingratiating, fawning, flattering, phony, but always (of course!) with
the *very best* of intentions. As the saying goes, "The road to hell is
paved with good intentions."

It was nothing short of an ego trip to believe I could *control* the
happiness of others. Further, it was the sign of a weak and starving ego
to constantly look for approval and affection from others. I was (still
am) emotionally very sensitive, very "tuned in" to the moods of others,
but was lacking in fundamental self-esteem. Through my spiritual
practices I finally did learn self-esteem, and stopped this bad habit;
what was "spiritual" growth to me, others might simply call the late
development of emotional maturity. Oh well.

One side-effect of all this trying-to-please-others crap was a very
weak, restless, constantly spinning mind. My thoughts were constantly
awhirl trying to decode others' needs and find something clever and
flattering to say. (I sometimes think I sense that mental restlessness
in you.) Meditation helped me slow down my mind, reduce these kinds of
thoughts. Spiritual study emphasized the need to tell the truth, not
what I thought others wanted to hear. Truth-telling is a great spiritual
practice, very centering, empowering and calming for me.

Hope you re-read your own words and see how you can put your new
awareness into practice. Perhaps the content -- and intent -- of some of
your past postings was this same desire for attention/affection? If so,
I recognize myself in your words.

I love you dearly; now apply what you glimpsed inside. New habits take
practice.

Love, -Jim

No traffic? So nobody is posting anything at all at the moment?

Can you tell me how to subscribe to the kundalini-p list? I take it I
send a message somewhere, subscribe in the subject line?

The abduction thing is /kind of/ an old thing for me that sort of
finished a year or two ago, but I would still like to talk about it.
Cheers.

It would take too long to explain...
But, I am unsuccessfully combatting strong feelings of bitterness,
hatefulness & disgust towards a couple of select people, & - through
them - including the whole human race.
I intellectually *know* it is sheer bigotry to just pass judgement on a
whole mammalian specie, but it doesn't help my gut feelings.
Right now, in my heart, I HATE everybody, & I know I'm 'off kilter'. And
- it just ain't right.
I *think* I am under spiritual *psychic attack*, but - even this
glimmering of knowledge seemingly won't release any healing. I seem
spiralling into HELL ON EARTH. It's been 2 days. Every experience I have
just strengthens this faux conviction, & I fear I am reeling into a
black hole of contempt & unfounded hate. I even *hate* me.
I am feeling *hate*. I am admitting it because I still do not believe
*who I am* has the capacity to *hate*, so I am very worried.
Still, I cannot process this *hate* - I feel it is illegal, & only
through admitting it might there be some help.
I need help...

Go to www.rickross.com. And look up 3HO. I do this so that people will look
for a real yoga teacher, and not get hurt by this outfit.

thanx.
what's yoga gonna do for a 'psycho demon from Hell' once it's cast it's
lot???
maybe, if we could just mutually figure out WHAT causes HATE, it could
be combatted...
vps (okay, I'll go there. but I'll probably hate it...)

Dear Valerie Cooper,

Yes, these are not very unnatural or unlikely events. The world is
a place where sensitive persons often do get hurt, and after having
got hurt, and seen all the hypocracy and senselessness of everyone
around, hatred does come. It does start with some people and then
spreads across to the whole race.

Believe me, there is nothing "illegal" about hate. Humans are born
with intellect and sentiment. Sentiment encompasses the "good" as
well as the "bad" feelings. We all feel love, happiness and also
bitterness and hatred. These are all characteristics of our over-
active mind.

A word to help : Do not combat it.

Seek something in your life that you like and genuinely love.
Something whose thoughts take you up completely in love and occupy
the mind fully. Some person, real or ficticious, would do. Day and
night think of this ideal, chant this ideal and make it a part of
the daily routine like breathing. Keep at it day and night. When
you forget and think of something else, do not panic or scold
yourself. Just re-commence with the chanting. Over time the mind
will become still and at ease and the feelings of hatred will be
replaced by one of love. That will be a much more comfortable
situation.

Cheers and love to all
Ashanka

Hi to all those mabey having trouble believing in chakras. I just on
saturday went to I guess youd call it a "New Age" store and rented a video
on chakras. Its called "The energetics of healing" its a lecture by a
woman named Caroline Myss. She is a medical intuitive. She for some
reason finalized it for me.

I took notes if any one is interested in them let me know . This womans
philosophy caught me exactly the way I had to be captured in order to make
it a living reality for me.

Hello,

I would like to invite you to join the kundalini_p mailing list.

The description of this mailing list is:

The spiritual and evolutionary process known as Kundalini awakening can be
joyous or harrowing to those undergoing it. Many esoteric philosophies suggest
ignoring all psychic and physical phenomena and staying focused on the goal:
enlightenment and self-realization. This list community views the destination as
being ultimately in the hands of Spirit, and focuses instead on sharing thoughts
on the beauty and discomforts along the journey. The destination is universal,
the paths to It are individual: religous intolerance and prosetlyzing are
discouraged. Here awakened travellers of all paths may meet in harmony to share
tales of thier adventures, and to assist fellow travellers who may be
encountering difficulties along the way. The joy is in the journey.

You can join this list by going to the following web page:
