Sharon, are you describing that your *art* project just took over &
developed into a whole new scene without your imput?
And, you connect the project's spheres with the 'chakras as spheres'
post which was giving you the shakes earlier?
wow... I know how art & music & poetry can be real powerful & birth
themselves via the mediums.
Can you show us this *art* project, when it's done doing it's thing?
How is the influence from the post; uh - whose, uh - WHOSE POST IS/WAS
THAT, originally? What's the connection here?

You are in a chill mode.
Take a walk in the woods.
Then the trees will seem to give you chills.
Focus on the cleansing power of the energy flow rather than the projections.

Deborah and David and all,

Thanks for the poems and the thoughts.

y'know something weird? Just last night and this morning I was thinking I
was at a standstill spiritually. I mean nothing was happening. And I
prayed to Sai Baba about it. Because of the Sai Baba dreams I had initially
months ago, I always think of myself as a Dalmatian dog (don't ask) when I
pray to him...and I always refer to myself as "Sharon the dog." And so...I
saw myself all alone last night---this dog sitting alone in a vast
wilderness---and I said, "I'm lost." And then I saw Sai Baba, and he was
smiling and he called to me and I (the dog) ran and jumped into his
arms...and he said, "See. You weren't lost after all. You were never
lost."

:-)))))))))))) And that felt sooooooo good, 'cause I did feel so lost and
alone. So much so that I cried.

And now I'm going to shut up, 'cause otherwise Mystress will throw me off
the list for using too much band-width. :-)

Thanks for including me in the discussion. Sorry it has taken a while to
respond.

As far as I can tell there are the following positions.

Those who feel that the Self/ultimate nature has no locus and in fact
cannot be localized.

Those who feel that the Self/ultimate-nature has no locus, but may be
most easily realized in a particular location.

Among the latter the heart is the most common location. Then the
question arises - what heart? In the old days the yogic cakra physiology
was THE physiology - so there was no distinction between the physical
heart and the yogic heart. But with modern anatomy the question arises.
So there are those who superimpose the subtle nerves of the yogic heart
on top of the physical heart - and those who differentiate saying that
the heart cakra, like all cakras, is in the chittra nerve of the
sushumna.

Was the heart mentioned in Harsha's quotes from the Upanishads was any
of the above?:
I think Harsha's quote from the Prasna upanishad points out that the
heart of this upanishad, and others, including the later yoga
upanishads, is the origin of the nadi/nerve network of the body. This
makes it identical to the heart cakra of the Natha's, tantric Buddhists
etc.

Finally, there is the question of whether Ramana Maharshi's heart was
any of the above? Since it appears to me that the heart of the classical
Upanishads, the tantras, the Natha's etc. is treated in much the same
manner I would think that Ramana's heart would be the same ... but ...

Kind Regards,
Kurt

Harsha: Beautifully put Alan! Spoken like a Vedantic Sage. I think the
term
"Heart" is both figurative and literal. For example, Katha Upanishad
states,
"Radiating from the Lotus of the Heart there are 101 nerves. One of
these
ascends to the thousand petaled Lotus in the brain." Prasna Upanishad
states,
"Prana (the reference is to Kundalini Shakti) is born of the Self. Like
a man
and his shadow, Self and Prana are inseparable.....Self dwells in the
Lotus of
the Heart whence radiate 101 nerves." The reference to the Heart or the
Cave
of the Heart recurs throughout Upanishads. If Jan or Kurt or others
have
comments on this or if there is Kundalini literature in other traditions
which
speaks on this topic, it would be nice to know.

Hi everybody,

As promised, I've put up the "before" and "after" pics on the web. The
"before" however, is a small inserted thumbnail in the upper right corner of
the "after" pic. This is because all I had left after the "change" was the
thumbnail...and I haven't been able to reproduce the "before" pic no matter
how I try. And that is interesting too....

For those who want to take a look, the URL is

  http://www.fractalus.com/sharon/composit.jpg

I'll leave it up a few days.

This pic may not mean anything to you guys, but it sure does to me. The
pale lavender white sphere means crown chakra to me. The purple one means
the brow chakra. The new smaller light-colored shattered sphere is also a
chakra, but I'm not sure which. After the pic rendered (still don't like it
much) the shattered area looks as if it has been pierced with a
warped-looking knife with its handle resting on the shattered edge of the
crater. This inadvertent picture says a great deal to me, which the
original never did. I don't want to say what, because the message is
extremely personal...and I don't think I have plumbed it all yet.

And Harsha...thanks for what you wrote. I know what you mean. I know
exactly what you mean. But I also know that this was a sort of catalyst for
me today...and perhaps the source was my Self which seized the moment. :-)

Now you'll make me cry.. your apology is not accepted.. not good enough,
do better.. it is coming from your ego .. silly bonehead, everything was
perfect. You are perfect, and you always have been, except you did not know
it because you were not listening to what Goddess was saying to you. So She
hadda keep repeating Herself. She is Perfection. So what is there to
apologize for?
If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him. (That typo came out "likk
him first time.. LOL!)
I am honored to have been instrumental in the near-death experience of
your ego.
It seemed to not want to surrender, and you were asking begging for help
over and over as I read between the lines.. and hearing your painful cries
was getting to me, so I was moved finally in an act of mercy to step in and
grab your ego by the throat and throttle it into silence and knock it down
and stomp it flat and shit on it, and then jump on it up and down with my
stiletto heels on it's sensitive parts until it hurt so bad it thought it
was gonna die.. which it what it took, to get it to surrender. Blessed be.
I think you will find it to be whole and undamaged, but significantly
more co-operative.. (smirk)

So.. that's why I get the big bucks.. so if I give it away, it's gotta
be for love, eh??

Sometimes an act of unconditional love is to spank a child hard enough so
that next time their mind is chasing a ball across the street, their body
will instinctively think twice.. and stop autopilot brakes on at the curb
like a chasm has opened up at their feet.. that is a spinal reflex of the
body-memory. .basic aversion therapy.. and the parent who is too concerned
with egoic perceptions of "Goodness" will not act on the instinctive
impulse to do so.
Admittedly, I was impulsed to flame your butt purple repeatedly, but I
procrastinated... to be quite sure it was consensual.. that you were really
asking.. :)
What I'm trying to tellya, is sometimes being a bitch in the highest
good and risking looking like an ass hole takes way more guts and faith
than smiling at everyone.
Glad to be of service.. it was fun. Happy lurking. Enjoy your diary..
   Blessings, Mystress.

Jan: Self without dimension and location, not in any way related to chakras
goes for me too.

Jan:
To my experience, all three centers do exist. The center that is situated
near the physical heart (to me it seems to be near the 'top' of the physical
heart) is connected by a nadi that goes diagonal to vishuddha and then to
sahasrara. I would not be surprised if the "physical" heart chakra plays an
important role in pranayama and particularly breath-retention. The first
chakra I noticed was anahatha, followed by the center to the right and after
that, the center near the physical heart. The experienced sensations in
those chakras are totally different. I could never notice any relation
between the activities of the physical heart and the chakra near to it. Only
anahatha seems to be directly K. related.

Gsdonne: I read your words and weep Harsha. Surely with all your wisdom and
experience you must have a cure for self appointed 'I AM Avatars'!!!

Harsha: I waited to respond to your post so that your tears would be dry by
now and you could actually read again. I have no cures. You may commence
weeping again.

Gsdonne: Search the record books, the ancient scrolls of wisdom, surely a
cure must
exist somewhere in the worlds spiritual literature! Dont let us suffer
Harsha, I implore you.

Harsha: I am deeply moved by your faith in me. My heart feels your pain. I
shall do as you say and search for a cure to the best of my abilities.
Meanwhile bear the suffering as best you can dear one and continue weeping.

Gsdonne: We have enough to endure already, telemarketers, Barbie spams, and
now Avatars! In my unenlightened ignorance of these matters the only solution
I can
offer is hitting the delete key. Maybe not an established spiritual practice
but effective.

Harsha: Yes wise one. I bow to you for your insight. Indeed, the delete key
has been savior for many. It is the one true guru.
