  Hiya:
i have been trying to untangle a puzzle of perceptions lately, and
someone posted to me to ask about the "Flower of Joy" chakra I had
mentioned to my Dad, which led me on a train of thought.. which led to some
inspiration.
I would really like some opinions on this weird idea. So I edited my post
to that person for reposting here.. Comments?

"The Flower of Joy" first showed up, coming back from my hearing in
Seattle early Feb. I had so many people love bombing me at that time, I
cannot be sure what sparked the opening.. but I believe it was connected to
releasing a lot of old rejection issues thru massive love, appreciation and
acceptance from everyone, and perhaps Carol Hathor's energy work..
I noticed the scent first.. distinctive, kind of floral, but completely
elusive to define.. like a brand new scent never smelled before, but with a
haunting teasing familiar quality about at is if from a memory before this
birth. Intoxicating and irresistible.

The "flower" is located on the R. side of my chest, halfway vertically
between nipple and clavicle. Between the second and third rib? Kind of
under the third rib.. I feel a fainter version of it, not as open on the
other side. I saw it fuzzily as yellow and trumpet shaped like a lily, with
6 petals on the surface.. rover smelled it and saw it as yellow descending
to red and blue, where it connects to my spine nearer the heart chakra.
The image my K. gave me was like the Kabbalistic tree of life, but
different..

I did a session some weeks ago with a fella who was doing the water-hose
unkinking Shakti dance so intensely just from being in my presence that I
gave up on playing with him till I'd spent some time with more traditional
Shaktipat methods and cleared his channels a bit.. so he would hold still.
The "Thankyou my unconscious" mantra nearly gave him an orgasm every time
he said it.. he would say it and then go into shaking and hyperventilating
thrashing, collect his breath and say it again..

I just watched him thrash on the floor and reminded him keep repeating it
and to breathe.. later, when he was clearer, I had started playing with him
and he caught a whiff of the Flower and went instantly into pythonic
ecstasy.. I pulled back and he started begging to smell my chest.. a most
unusual request.. I allowed it, and he spent about 5-10 minutes with his
nose mashed into that spot Above my bosom, and deep breathing and
K-thrashing so intense that even tho he was completely chained down I had
to hang onto the rack to keep him from knocking me over in mindless
enthusiasm. It seemed like the intoxicating scent was also working on
rebalancing his energy.. I just hung on, amused, and focused on radiating
joy... trusting that tho the intensity was evident, Goddess would not give
him anything he could not handle.. and his thrashing calmed down after a
while.
I hope I have related that in a manner respectful of the sensitivities of
some of our delicate members.. it was unusual even for me who is accustomed
to the unusual.. I mention the bondage because it has an inverse effect of
making clients feel more free to react in the moment without fearing they
will harm themselves and me.

<<< Round it goes.. the Shaker church had a positive effect on preserving
the Native culture.. the shakers were famous for sturdy graceful unadorned
furniture.. such as lightweight wooden chairs that could be hung on the
wall so none of the "Shakers" thrashing in the throes of Shakti during a
religious celebration would fall over furniture and hurt themselves.
Dealing with intense Kriyas requires some safety precautions.>>>

After writing the chakra post, about double funnel vortexes, I realized
the flower chakras are at the front of me opposite the point at my back
where I have felt myself lately to have sprouted wings.. in response to
making a decision to trust myself more.. a gift from Goddess.
I was enraptured by the idea of having wings as a child, and in my
imagination played with how they would feel.. but the wings I have been
feeling lately are distinctly different than those.. they are smaller,
stronger, placed slightly differently on my back, and the biggest
difference is how they get my attention the way a physical limb would, like
how an itchy nose or a foot falling asleep calls my attention to it.. so I
consider that I might be going loopy but at least I am having fun at it,
and continue exploring the experience.

So I was still puzzling.. why wings..? Seemed kind of corny, even if
my name is Angelique.. They feel good tho..:) And what are the flowers..??
The caduceus has been on my mind today, I have been having visions of
it animated 3-d for the website.. then I got it.. The wings of Hermes on
the Caduceus are as real as the serpents.. Amazing. Who'd a thunk it? I
have rarely heard any references to the wings as an aspect of awakening.
So is there some deal I have forgotten in the veil, about how after the
serpents have made it all the way up the elevator and the lights come on in
the penthouse, next step is growing wings?
I would appreciate any insights that can be offered..
    Blessings, Mystress.

To my understanding, the commonly-accepted nomenclature of the 7 chakras you
list, Sanskrit and English, is as follows (with some variations in the
Sanskrit transliteration):

1. Muladhara or Base
2. Svadisthana or Sacral
3. Manipura or Solar Plexus
4. Anahata or Heart
5. Vishuddha or Throat
6. Ajna or Brow
7. Sahasrara or Crown

With blessings,
Alan

I agree with Sharon. K-yoga is a world unto itself. Those of us who got
spontaneous activation don't know the gurus or the jargon. Guru X says
this & Guru Y says that dosen't interest me at all.

But on to a question ...

Once when meditating very deeply I "saw" what looked like a blue cloud with
a hole in it. The hole was black and I could just see the edges of the
"hole" as an electric blue "cloud". Around the cloud was blackness. This
wasn't a visualization. My eyes were shut but it felt like I was seeing
this with my physical eyes.

Is this a k-related visual? If so, what was I supposed to "do" with it?
TIA for ideas.

Wow is she in my head today! Shakingshakingshakingly yours ...

Hi Mystress! :)

At 16:44 1998.04.27 -0700, you wrote:

I think this, with Alan's supplement, is a very good map; I have a page on
my site dedicated to that but it is in Croatian and therefore not of much
use to folks here. :) If I manage to get some time to do it, I'll translate
that page and put it on www; I can't put it here since there are symbolic
representations of chakras etc. that make it clearer. There are description
of mental/emotional/spiritual qualities tied to petals of the chakras, in
unpurified and purified form.

As for the thing that there are seven main chakras, I don't know, after
visuddha purification I got into a very powerful chakra in my tongue, not
visuddha radiation but different, and yet very similar, different quality
of blue light, if I'm making any sense. :) Anyway, I got the impression
that it is tied to and probably more intense than visuddha in some ways.

Anyway, sorry for the delays in response everyone - I can't manage to catch
up with the amount of k-l mail...

Hi Gene:

I thought you were somehow envolved. how did you post anyway? Maybe
someone forgot to tell you the source of this list (I don´t know it.
Ironic isn´t it).

If you have a little time, this is how i got here. If you don´t go
striaght to the last parragraph. I will make the long story short
anyway.

I was taking a lot of LSD and mescaline by 1995-1996, because I always
knew there was something going in and out of me that trascended me (I
am 22 years old now, 19 back then) and didn´t know another way to get
in touch with it.

I was always interested in Hindu culture though, I sensed a lot of
power coming from that way up to here. And it flashed me how old
pictures in Hindus books ressembled to some LSD trip effects.
Beagan knowing people and listened about shamanic practices here in
Peru and went to the amazon jungle. took ayahuasca there in a place
called Takiwasi (chaint´s temple).
The people of Takiwasi are curing heroin and cocaine adicction with
ayahuasca which is a root that gets you to a near dead experience just
as yogis get practicing pranayama.
Takiwasi sends out a magazine every now and then where I once
(September, 1997) read an article on K, read it and knew (remembered)
what was that I have been looking for at that poiny of my life.

(THIS MAYBE WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR)
***I went to the net and typed KUNDALINI, on the Yahoo browser. I
got into "Kundalini Resource Center"
Inside I found, in the second parragrapgh of the fisrt page (not as a
buttom but in blueprint) "Kundalini Mailing List". Went there,
subscribed and that is how I am here. (one can go there and get
unsubcribed easily.***

Mystress A. seems to be managing the list that was opened in 1995 i
think (just the year I mentioned lines above -I love those wondeful
life´s coincidences.

Now there is a big problem because this is a place where people
involved with K converge. There are people from all over.
The thing is the list is about to get diverged. And that is due to so
many strains of sustaining opinions sustained by egos, etc...

But the thing is we still need a place to come together. We need to
measure ourselves up but K is something that has to be shared with.
You can´t go and tell your neighbor or fellow collegue: "Hi I have K,
wanna tlak about it. There was a serpent-like force coiled and it is
having it´s way upwards..." You can picture the reaction.

Well. I think I made myself about two points here. How to get here and
get info from here (Kundalini Resource Center, on the net) and why we
should do something to keep this list together and surrender our egos
a little bit to sustain not "our" truth but to try and reach out,
share and help with knowledge rather than opinion.

Love to you all

Roberto

how would i find out if i had an experience. what happened was i went
to sit down and i started to see "stars" then blacked out. i felt my
body "convulsing" like my brain was trying to kick start. i had the
sensation that no blood was getting to my brain and then all of a
sudden i felt a rush to the top of my head and it was like i woke up.
after i was sitting there wondering if it really happened or did i just
dream it. while "out" i felt like i was in another dimension. but
somehow i knew i would come out and was scared at the same time.

Hard to type while ROTFL... :-))))))))))

Will try to read this again later adn see waht I missed....

RE wings, yes, I have heard of this. Forget where, tho. But there's
something going around about it, in New Age bookstores I think. People
doign aura healings about untangling people's auric wings. Some kind of a
system about it.

Re scent and flowers ... I've run into thsi a few times about the crown
chkra 'blossoming'. Some unfolding there does make a nice scent. Never
encountered corsage before.

Let's see, if someone came in with flowers and a white lace dress for you,
would you throw them out as a pervert? :-)))))))))))

Thanks for sanity, as always!

Mary

Sounds good to me!

Harsha, I forgot to agree with your excellent points a few posts back. The
Sanskrit maps alone aren't enough. We need to be reasonable, too. :-)

If some people want a no-Sanscrit list, and others want a SAnscrit-only
list, fine, there are 2 lists.

I'd opt for a 3rd list, mixed, of mainly posts that overlap Sanscrit and
spontaneous.
"I saw a black whirlpool, what is that?" ... "See ____ re vrittis."
"What does Swami X mean by _____?" ... "It's a sound sort of like a sonic
boom."

What really helps me ... is info (like from my Jain monk friend) which
gives sort of an overall picture, without a lot of heavy advice. For
example, he says that generally in normal life it is good for the energy (k
or otherwise) to spiral upward and aroudn the top of the head, then recylce
and flow back down outside teh body, like a fountain.

Spiral up sort of like incense smoke.... Not forced into a narrow central
channel, but not spewing out sideways either.

This is what the pictures of the ida and pingala aroudn the sushumna are
about. Also, all that stuff about ida=cool and pingala=warm really works! I
use it to control hot flashes etc. (Breathing in left nostril for ida etc
etc -- all that pranayama stuff works, for health and dealing with
imbalances, not just for "Enlightment". :-)

Seems to me in reading teh yoga books, we need to distinguish what are
methods of meditation for monks to use in short concentrated doses, maybe
for special purposes, (energy straight up only, for example) -- and
recommendations for general use all day in teh world. I get the impression
most of the Sanscrit writings are the former.

So IMO they are tremendously useful, but need to be taken in perspective.

Also, some are exercises for people who have no K experiences yet, and are
tryign to force some. Quite a different situation from most of us.

We are the ones who are having the experiences, we to go the old words and
pictures etc to see which fit them. Not to force our experiences into the
old patterns. But it is good ot know what the old patterns are, because
many of them DO fit.

SEems to me ... the SAnscrit teachings are like maps ... very detailed,
lots of good information in them.

Unfortunately, maps are publihsed by 3 kinds of people:

Type 1. Howard Shaktipat Johnson, who makes all roads lead to His Own Place
Type 2. who writes for people who are still trying to get their cars
started by striking them with a stick
Type 3. who doesn't believe in any of it but has lots of good footnotes :-)

So it's very helpful for us travellers to get together and compare the old
maps we've found useful ... with the ones we've had to draw for
ourselvse.... :-)

Bhuvan Devi

Four or fife years ago, I was lying in the grass in a park, enjoing the
sun. I was conting my breathes, they become deeper and deeper, I was lieing
there a long time. Suddenly I 'woke' up, sat myself up and started to weep, I
never weeped before like this. My thought at this moment was, 'I have a lot to
learn'.
I belief this was the re-start of an old story. Later in meditation it
happend sometimes, releasing of suppressed or unconscious emotions. Now it
happens simply, mostly by walking through nature, filled with bliss, such is
live

Love and light
