The Virtue of Creative Laziness!
Conventional wisdom says the keys to success are ambition, drive and hard work. We all know men and women who talk about working 80 hours a
week as if it's a badge of honor, and we've all heard that laziness is among the worst of failings. But, we have also heard about people who
died at their desks at age 50, and as I get closer to that age, it seems far too high a price to pay. I don't want to work 80 hours a week, and
if I occasionally do work way more than I want to, I don't brag about my poor planning! I think there is a better way, and it is the virtue of
creative, planned laziness! Let me make 5 specific suggestions:
1. Take the path of LEAST RESISTANCE. For maximum success, go where things are easy! How often do you invest precious time and energy
trying to make something work? Often, there is another opportunity, another way of doing it, another market that will be far more receptive.
If at first you don't succeed, try something different!
2. Focus on the task with MAXIMUM IMPACT! Many of us end up spending endless hours (and our lives) struggling with trivia. We answer phones,
shuffle papers, and do all the million things that need doing, and for what? Most of those things are trivia and will make, at most, only a
small contribution to our success. At any given moment, there is one task that, when completed, will have more impact on your business, your
success and your life than all the others combined. Focus on that one!
3. DELEGATE EVERYTHING! Instead of doing all those trivial things (many of which do need attention), delegate them! Hire someone to clean your
house, mow your lawn, and wash the car. Get a virtual assistant to balance your checkbook and use a delivery service to pickup the dry
cleaning! Hire wisely, and supervise closely, but only invest your time and attention on those things once! Don't wait, delegate!
4. Strive for MAXIMUM JOY! When we do work we love and that brings us
joy, we almost always do it very well. And the key is that the world will pay a premium for extraordinary performance! When you work with
passion and joy, you are fulfilling your own inner needs, and maximizing the value of your services. Nobody ever got rich through drudgery! If
you don't "whistle while you work", change jobs!
5. SIMPLIFY EVERYTHING! Out of chaos, bring order. Out of confusion, find peace. Out of stress, well, just get out! Limit the number of
daily appointments, schedule time to be creative, time for fun, time for peace. Understand the distinction between sophisticated and
complicated. And, don't die at your desk unless you're really sure you want to.
Most of us work too hard, and accomplish too little. A little creative,
intelligent laziness can often fix that!

I read "Play of Consciousness" about 6 months ago and it gave me a major, major k-blast. Wish I'd known about him when he was still

Ann: Thanks, Sandeep, for another gem. It'll take some time to consider it
through all its facets.
Dan: >Is there more than one instant?
Ann:
Well, sure, Dan, it all depends on your context, what level you're asking
about, what plane of consciousness you're considering. This illusory time-space continuum we inhabit is real enough that at one time a train
track is a perfectly safe place to get out of your car and fix that flat tire. At another time you'd better run like hell!
If you're really living in that one instant, you'd better get someone to
dole out your medicine so you won't poison yourself, and prod you to eat occasionally.
Of course, I know you were just trying to enlighten me, and I appreciate
the good intention. But actually, I don't need that kind of help as much as I need someone to remind me to pay my bills, turn off the lights because
the sun is up, take my medicine, and occasionally eat.
As for the plane I was operating on when I asked the question, what I really want to know is whether the wave/quanta problem can be explained by
the fact that those waves of light, for instance, are popping into and out of the All at each moment, so that the line we might draw for a wave should
be drawn as a series of dots or quanta. As for why one set of equations works if you assume waves and another works if you assume quanta, I dunno
- maybe you can view the phenomena on only one level or sub-level at a time?

Harsha: That is a very beautiful analogy Danijel. For some reason, I am reminded of that popular spiritual love song (of the 1970s?) with the catchy tune, "Light
of the World (Self) shine on me, love is the answer." Who sang that?

Sandeep mentioned the in- and outbreaths of Brahman...
In Jewish mysticism, in- and out-breaths occur about every 3,000 years,
corresponding with the predominant influence of masculine or feminine aspects of G-d. The time between breaths is powerful and possibly
chaotic. We're about to change over from masculine to feminine. Sigh! Holly

Thanks, but I went there and the file has been removed. File Not Found! And a lot of people may have joined K-list since the missing book list was
compiled. I am particulary interested in reading Gopi Krishna -- but he wrote *so* much. Where to begin???
