I agree. Very insightful. I have actively done volunteer work, and now I am trying to gain the courage to be more experimental and learn to meditate,
do yoga, etc.
I have the most difficulty relating to those who are able to concentrate on loving God. Or is it that they have trouble relating to me :) ?
(I see loving God as separate from faith, by the way.) I'm like: "How can I love someone/thing when I don't know what it is I am
loving?"
Especially when we have such mixed messages in the bible of love and fear. How can someone who wants us to fear him also expect love from us? Wouldn't
that be an oxymoron? Love/Fear = Jumbo Shrimp (or Military Intelligence, take ya pick) Hmmmm.... reminds me of my earthly father. Not an appealing
idea, thank you very much.

I heard that he had a heart attack is that true? And How is he now? Please let me know about this fascinating topic. I saw his videos and

Hi all,
This is my first post, so I hope I am doing it correctly. I am hoping to become involved in this list, so I thought I would give you a bit of history about myself so you know where I am coming from when I do post.
My name is Sharon and I am 30 years old. I "discovered" my Kundalini energy about a year ago while I was chatting to a friend on the net. I had my head in my hands with my elbows resting on the table and suddenly I started swaying mildly from side to side. I let it happen and was really excited about what was happening, although I couldn't explain it. It eventually stopped after 5 mins or so. I knew it was something to do with my awakening which started about 1-2 months before that.
Not long after that, I spoke to a lady who was organising a closed circle which I attended and she mentioned the word Kundalini. Now I have the energy with me always and all I have to do is to sit quietly and let it happen. Now that I think back, I can remember times as I was growing up that I had a swaying sensation, but once again, couldn't explain it.
I started doing some reading about Kundalini recently and came across this list and I hope it will help me explain my situation better as I go along. What I need to find out now is what do I do with it? I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Hi Ruth,
I have experience something similar to what you have described with my animals, particularly one, a dog called Brandy but all were while he was still alive.
Brandy used to sleep in my room at night and I used to put him outside at around 6am. One morning we did the same routine and I went back to bed. I was laying on my back and was half asleep and about 30 minutes later I felt footsteps along the base of my bed. Something was walking there and it was approximately the weight of my dog. I let it happen and a few minutes later it was walking about my head. The matress was moving down as each footstep was taken.
I put it down to him astral travelling. After all, if we can do it, why can't they?
It has happened to me a few other times, and I have discussed it with other animal lovers and they tell me similar stories. I think you have to have a special bond with your favourite animal friend for this to happen though.

if it were her getting on my bed etheric or not! H haa... what mysteries there are in the universe...

Welcome, Sharon. You've come to the right place. There are many
knowledgeable folks here on this list. I found it a couple of months ago when my awakening began and found everyone to be intelligent,
down-to-earth and very loving. They saved me when I had no other place to turn.
Something you may want to look into is resonance. Your swaying may be
the process by which you attune yourself to the Earth's energy. Many healers use this process in their work.
Dr. Robert Beck, a nuclear physicist, who traveled the world
measure the brain waves of healers. He found that all healers exhibit the same brain-wave pattern of 7.8 to 8.9 Hz
during the times they are giving healings, no matter what their customs or how opposed to each other their customs
were. Beck tested charismatic Christian faith Healers, Hawaiian Kaunas, Practitioners of Wicca, Santeria ,
Radesthesia and radionics, as well as seers, ESP readers and Psychics.. They all tested the same.
Dr. Beck then asked to what drummer the healers were all
marching. And indeed why. He found the answer in the fluctuations of the earth's magnetic field. It fluctuates
between 7.8 and 8 HZ. These fluctuations are called Schumann waves. Upon further investigation, he found that during
healing moments, the healer's brain waves became both frequency and phase synchronized with the Schumann waves. >

I think one's perspective will differ depending on what goals are considered important. If Self-Realization or God Consciousness is the
only goal, really and truly, then it could be argued that secrecy of any kind has no relevance because no particular techniques or tools have any
relevance. One day (20 years ago), I was walking my teacher back to his house after a lecture. Usually at that time we were alone. I asked him,
"Gurudeva, tell me the great secret; which is the best spiritual practice for attaining the highest Samadhi. Is it Pranayama or
Meditation or Upa Yoga (Yoga of awareness). Knowing that I loved them all, He said, "Don't ask me that." I persisted. Finally he said, "dear
Harshadeva, any spiritual practice you carry to an extreme will take you to the final goal. He was quiet for a minute and then said, "If you
carry non-violence to an extreme, then also you will become enlightened." How can that be Gurudeva," I asked. If that was true why
would the yogis spend years and years practicing meditation and pranayama." He smiled and said, "Yes they spend years and years in
solitude and don't bother anyone. And no one bothers them. They develop amity and good will towards all and become established in non-violence
indirectly. That is the real cause of their Samadhi."
