greetings, CG....

i fully support your practice of "practicing" what you posted.

there is a wonderful book entitled, "The Spell of the Sensuous", by
David Abram that discusses this concept as spiritual ecology. i full
recommend this book,,,from the first word and thought to the last it is
empowered, rich and enlightening.

your energetic bodies will also beam radiantly from just the words.

warmly,
elliot

I like ambient mixed with world music:

1. David Parsons "Dorje Ling". This one is a MUST, it is an awesome mix
of synthesizers and Tibetan music and chanting: psychedelic syncretism!
The Gyu Me chanting makes my hair stand on end.

2. Shakti with John McLaughlin "Shakti". Guitar virtuoso J.M. playing
with Zakir Hussain and other Indian musicians for an awesome fusion of
East and West. The percussion solos blast me out of the universe.

3. Robert Rich/Steve Roach "Soma". World Percussion with synthesizers to
create an almost eerie vehicle for intergalatic traveling.

4. Michael Stearns "Baraka". Soundtrack from the movie...the ancient
Sufi metaphor for the evolutionary unfolding process.

5. Coyote Oldman "Shape of Time". Native American flute playing mixed
with new concepts and other concepts.

6. Dead Can Dance "Spiritchaser". Awesome multicultural music made into
beautiful songs.

Dear Dan-G and other K list members,

Dan, even though I don't know you at all and you have been quiet since I
came back (it looks like he was bumped off about the time I got back
on), I greatly appreciate your coming. Your startling presence has
cast a light onto our list in a way that resembles a holograph. The
density and texture of my fellow list members has been greatly enhanced.

Remember list members that communication is over 50% nonverbal. The
typed page has zero intonation, which means my understanding is probably
down in the 25% range. (Dave Barry and I think alike about-- :)(:--
this stuff. See his home page for a good laugh.) I do not share the
psychic abilities of many of you and must rely 100% on what you write.

This is why I am a secret admirer of the contrary and difficult
situations that arise among us. (The core of your family is starkly
evident after you knock over the Thanksgiving dinner table.)

I, like most, seek perpetual bliss for everyone. But my reality points
plainly to difficulty as the main engine of change. This is why I
constantly harp on paying careful attention to your own strong fears and
emotions concerning the behavior patterns of our fellow travelers.

fully endarkened,

joe
