Celtic Music Lovers,
I listen mainly to Celtic music. I do not have too many as of
yet. I usally meditate to Natures Music. Sometimes to Celtic. Celtic
Twilight is good. Joanie Madden is a good flutest. The Narada series
I hear is very good. Celtic Twilight is a series of artist performing
thier music. There is one that is Lullabys, a very nice CD. It is
all a matter of taste. I love the flutes and fiddles. Some I think to
lively for mediation. But it comes from the spirit.

Enya is great. My favorite "IN MEMORY OF TREES"

Anyone ever hear weird scratchy sounds at the back of the bottom
of their neck when meditating? It kind of sounds "static-y", it moves up
the neck rapidly, and it also can be felt in a suble way, especially when
the neck is relaxing. Anyone know what this is, maybe?

thanks, nothing is.....

Anyone have any good practices that have made their sense of
sound more sensitive? Since I am pushing myself musically I am able at
certain times to experience a minor sense of synesthesia, which is very
enjoyable. But I have seem to hit a wall, any other suggestions
available?

If I may, another rather poetic interpretation;

In the beginning was the Goddess of All. Virgin, meaning complete within
Herself.
In the dark curve of the mirror of space She beheld Her reflection.
She perceived that reflection as Other than Herself.
In that instant Her being seperated, where once there was One there
were now two, mirrored.
She loved that refection of her essence. They loved.
And from that love there came an explosion, the force of creation,
birthing suns and worlds. Spinning them out across the cosmos.
The two were spun apart by the force. Ever apart, they yearn to unite.
With that union, love births creation.
wherever two meet and love, the universe is born again.

Of course, the Sioux belived that the world began with the braying of an
elk.

Sounds like lymph. You may have tension or a genetic difference that is
blocking the lymph flow, or just a slight twist in the neck bones.
There's a chakra at the base of the neck that relates to "self",
remarkable changes take place when this chakra opens. This chakra goes
all the way through the neck from the hollow where the clavicle bones
meet to the back. The neck is the narrowest channel of energy for the
body. Open the neck chakras through purification and the energy flow
increases (in a great way), supporting the full opening of the third and
fifth eyes.

dear ALL...

am sitting hear listening to "Echoes" on my local radio station...a six
hour mix of new age music...with an hour of "Space" before this comes on.
Saturday night has six hours of blues and gospel music...title iludes my
thoughts...Sunday features "Shamrock and Thistle" which is a mix of Irish
and Celtic...and normally, the station features classical. WONDERFUL way
to expand musical tastes and artists without buying cd's that wind up
collecting cobwebs cause it just wasn't...

and Anita...Enya is great...are the others you mentioned. have you
listened to Altan and Nightnoise?

BTW..."echoes" is featuring a tribute to st. pat's day...and is playing
celtic as i type...

i have a series of mediative nature cd's...i use the rain-thunderstorm
myself.

lovingly,

Have already responded to this on a psychological level but
that does not address the full nature of the question:
Those sensitive souls amongst you will be aware
that more can be sent then just email
and connection is sometimes on levels other than the obvious.
Some of you are empowering your email
- sending it as a *prayer* or *blessing*
either consciously or through your K quota
At this time of Earth, Pagan and Christain import (Easter)
it may be nice - however silly some may feel -
to try to *empower* your emails with a sharing, prayer or blessing
thus will the leylines of cyber space be enhanced
and all us mad kundalites delight in travelling her myriad pathways

This'll sound too simple, but it's a really good yogic exercise anyway. Go
for a walk every day. A 20min. one is aerobic so whynot try that. Don't
take anyone with you (unless it's dangerous). Try to shut out all internal
noise in yourself and concentrate on every sound you can hear. Hear all the
cars, hear all the birds and squerrils, there's always lots of sounds and
they're all around you and up into the air, and many of the sounds are
moving, try to locate the sounds and track all the sounds you hear
simultaneously. When you can actually start doing this (shutting off the
internal noise is the toughie for me), try to listen to the sounds as just
the pure sound, don't identify what made the sound, try instead to just hear
the sound as some kool sound. If done correctly, things sound super kool,
and you can go into a concentration induced trance. It takes time and alot
of Zen-esque practice, but everyone should go on an aerobic walk everyday and
it's a nice way to do yogic active meditations.

Lotsa love, don't run with scissors

YES, Aaron thank you. Finally advice I can actually follow effortlessly.
Don't Run With Scissors! Whenever I feel lost and inexperienced not to
mention totally untalented relative to the rest of the listers, I shall
instantly and subliminally revert to Don't Run With Scissors! I shall do the
Don't Run on the inhale and With Scissors on the exhale. Not only will it
supercede my old and unfathomable mantra but it will be my battle cry, my
interior freedom. No more flagellating myself for not dedicating my life to
the care of lepers. No more shame for never having experienced an OBE.
Good-by to beating myself up for getting bored with flute music. For I KNOW
I can conquer the urge to run with scissors at least as good as any K lister.
 Can Enlightenment be far behind?

Michael Crichton of Jurrasic Park, etc. fame has a brilliant speech all
written to deliver to the Skeptics Society (or some such) that I think you
would love. It comprises the last chapter of a book he wrote called Travels

You may be glad to hear Yogi Tom has howled at moon (literally), walked
naked on cool dew and beneath stars, swam in ice cold lakes, kissed
earth and prostrated beneath sky and sun, and joined pagan cermonies at
power places in London and indulged in pagan sex to burn up ego and all
inhibitions - am now totally calm again....medication working well.

What do you mean by power places? Is that the idea that
certain places or ruins like Macchu Picchu or Ankor Wat give off an
distinct 'ancient vibe'? If so, please tell if you know of some in the
northern midwest of the USA......maybe old Indian trading posts...?

I went through phase of spending hours absorbing purest forms of music
through meditation on music...also overtone chanting good, and
appropriate mantras, if feels right and right sounds emerge from
subconscious...also try cleaning out wax from earholes (seriously - this
made a big difference).....just be patient and go deep and stay
pure...also rock good sometimes as balance to ethereal realms - raw
power...Yogi Tom

Hey Aaron, you do your thing, but don't influence others. That may be fine
for you to do things illegally in your life, but not others. This is the
problem in our society today, people who think they are above the law. Drugs
are illegal, whether you think they should be or not. You just can't go
around doing whatever you please. Ever since the beginning of time,
societies have had rules. There are reasons for rules. Do you want some
drugged up person driving around and possibly killing innocent people. I
just witnessed such a thing in my home town. God gave everyone the ability
to alter consciousness naturally..... maybe you should become less dependent
on artificial highs and try your own NATURAL high, you may like it better!
Sorry if you are offended, seems you get that way often, maybe its because of
the drugs. But I don't agree with you AT ALL. I wouldn't want you around me
or my family. Good luck with your search for a job, and just know that
whatever you seek, whether it be a high or something else, all is already
within YOU !!!

I feel like I should have a party and celebrate...I felt the opening of my
crown chakra for the first time last week. It sensation of wearing a crown
of light stayed with me for several days and then faded as I got too focused
on work problems. But I loved it and still cherish the feeling. I am
thining it may return as I get into a peaceful weekend. I feel subtly
different ever since it first began. This is so lovely I just had to share.

A borrowing from Glenn Morris, so maybe it's worth $1.00 or so:

Is this the sound of Joy or Sorrow?

And ultimately,
Am I enlightened or ignorant?

These are the faces of duality
and the poles are one
as a coin must have two sides
(or you can't spend it)

The face of singularity:

I am perfect
because I am
listening

If I were not listening
I am perfect
and don't know it

There is nothing quite so precious
as the warmth from the embrace of
you own wondrous foibles.

Worship them--they are you.

Dear Dan and other list members,

One of the first posts I read when I joined this list last September was
Dan leaving during the DAVELONG wars. I think the first post I made
after my introduction was the DNFEC (Do Not Feed Energy Creatures) post.

I was inexplicably dropped off the list just as Dan made his glorious
return and am thankful for Angelique for keeping me up to date (without
my even asking). Dan, if you are still in a state of ecstasy after we
have welcomed you back to Bethlehem, that speaks monuments to your
condition.

Other list members may remember that I posted about a rule the followers
of Sant Thakar Singh ascribe to: No public discussion of internal
achievements. This is primarily to avoid some of the emotions which I
have felt even reading the digest. I tremble even now as I type.
Again, I am not for implementing this rule, I just wanted us to
understand the rational behind it.

While I am happy for your achievements Dan, please understand that when
I read a signature file such as: I am one of the few enlightened ones.
I hear a strong unspoken statement, "and you are not". Chevy Chase and
SNL are ringing in my ears. You may want to reconsider your approach,
if you really want to help others achieve your state. Then, of course,
you won't be "one of the few". But you can always join the Marines.

The words of Thaddeus Golas bear repeating in this instance:

I am silent, I am empty, I am still
I offer no resistance to the vibrations of others
I offer no resistance to the expansions and contractions of others

Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts,

peacefully,

Joe

WOW...

Aaron...allow me to clear the air...

I was the one that came back with the job issue...not Aaron...and your
support is appreciated...

however...the judgement is not...opinion is welcomed...but...i wonder if
this didnt cross the line...

from what i read of Aaron's posts...he used it for meditating
value...though i sometimes daydream while i drive...i dont meditate.
save that for home or somewere quite...so goes with out saying that he
isn't driving...possible assumption on my part...

and i wouldnt put pot in the same catagories as other drugs...coke,
crack, etc...

it is wonderful having this thing called freewill...being able to make
one's own decisions...and if you choose not to 'smoke' that is fine. but
so it is for Aaron and others...

and if caught breaking any rule, one pays the consequence...do you ALWAYS
wear your seatbelt while driving? do you always drive the posted limit?
ever have one too many glasses of wine or beers when out enjoying a meal
out?

and don't judge 'all' on the actions of few...unfortunate that someone
was innocently killed out of anothers disregard for better choices...
indeed! sort of like saying all pro-life supporters are going out and
bombing and killing at abortion clinics...or all gays are out to convert
straight people...just isnt so...it is the few that make it hard for the
rest who enjoy or support the issues...

and rules...some are worthy and some arent...and we do need rules to keep
us in check...but how many... and to what degree...IMHO...we have far to
many...

IMHO...Aaron...i would be honored to have you, as well as RW around me
and my family...would love to sit for hours, enjoy a meal, and share...

and...i HAVE found the best, possible high i ever have tried...and it is
indeed 100%...all natural...no additives nor preservatives...tottally
gets me bouncing in my seat and off of the walls...it's called LOVE...

so...to each their own...

in brotherhood, fellowship, and love...
