I've referred to a model I used to understand my kundalini process.
The model I used was an ancient Celtic one. It's difficult to explain,
but I'll do my best.
The human body has three souls. Two of these souls are located within
the physical body. The third soul is external to the physical body
but within the auric envelope, above the crown. These souls have very
different natures.
The belly contains the first soul. The Celts called this the "Cauldron
of warming". The Hawaiian Hunas called it the unihipilli, or "younger
self". Freud termed it the Id, Jung brought it into popular
consciousness as the subconscious mind. It's also often referred to as
the "inner child" in modern psychobabble. This is the seat of emotion
and of the energy used for body health (chi, or water) and for all
psychic ability.
The younger self thinks and communicates in pictures.
The second soul is seated in the chest. The Celts called this the
"Cauldron of Motion". Freud termed it the "Ego", Jung the conscious
mind, the Hawaiian Hunas the uhane, or middle self.
The middle self is a temporary vehicle for the three-souled being unless
complete integration is attained. Most commonly, it is simply a
"personality mask", a necessary vehicle for training during this life
cycle. (The near-immortal three-souled being wil create many
personality masks during its' cycles until it creates one which can
remain integrated in high energy levels.)
The middle self communicates in words which can create pictures of
abstract concepts. The important information about the middle self is
that it does not function properly unless aligned with the "high self",
and that it cannot communicate directly to either the younger self or
high self because there is not enough common language. This isn't the
issue you might think it is because the high self and low self can
communicate and the "ego" is the least important structure.

_note about functioning middle self: reduced function is characterized
by A)low self-esteem B)closed heart chakra, demonstrated by the
illusionary emotion of "loneliness" c)defensiveness d)emotions of fear
and anger, which are not true emotions and need not be experienced
(easier said than done because your ego structure "flexes" in response
to people around you, interfacing is its' job. You experience the
reality of those around you)e)lack of trust f)worry

The last soul is located 2 feet above the crown of the head. The Celts
called it "The Cauldron of Wisdom", Freud the "Superego", Jung the
"Superconscious", the Huna called it the amakua (literally, "bird self"
because it "flies" above the head) or high self. Poular literature has
termed it your "guardian angel" or "spirit guide".
The high self is supra-rational and completely unemotional. It thinks in
symbols. It is dependent upon the physical body for much of its' energy.
Sending energy to the high self strengthens the tie to the physical
body. Connection to the high self allows the ego to attain health and
proper functioning.
My suspicion is that kundalini is the effort of the three souls to
attain true integration. I believe that the subconscious mind initiates
the process after it experiences brief connection to the high self. The
goal is to make that connection permanent.

The exercise attached enables this process when it is performed daily.
The Celtic version is similar, but includes directives after the energy
connection to the three souls is made.
WARNING WARNING WARNING

THE INFORMATION BELOW SHOULD BE USED CAUTIOUSLY. I AM TRUSTING YOU TO BE
SENSIBLE ABOUT THE ONE (REPEAT ONE) ENERGY MODEL YOU CHOOSE AND THE
WORDING OF THE SINGLE DIRECTIVE IF YOU EMPLOY ONE. IF YOU ARE IN ANY
(REPEAT ANY) DOUBT ABOUT YOUR CHOICE, ASK ME (morganaATnospambest.com)
Directives: Celtic directives shape the energy state you wish to attain
by creating a model of that energy (ie Kuan Yin, Jesus, Buddha) and
invoking that energy into the body with a spoken directive.
Sample: I am a clear and perfect channel of_______
(divine energies, perfect love, perfect trust and love, perfect wisdom,
perfect truth, etc)

You can get truly messed up by using these wrong, but the advantages
are so great I had to include them.

Love, morgana
