Most folks approach spirituality on a sky path. Sky energy is called
"Prana" or "Chi" or "Orgone".. there are many names for it, and a Martial
arts Master can show you a good example of what Chi can do. Building up the
power of chi to break a ton of ice with his forehead, or shatter a stone
with his hand. Chi can be increased by breathing and visualizations. There
is more of it on a forest or a mountaintop and that is why it feels so good
to be there. Most magic that is done by spells and will power uses the
power of Chi. Chi is the slave of free will, it does not judge what use you
make of it, any more than sunlight does.
Kundalini Shakti is the Cosmic Consciousness of the universe. Nobody
tells Kundalini what to do. Rather, you set aside your free will and invite
Goddess to have Her way with you, because She is infinite wisdom and
unconditional love.
When you do the grounding exercise, you're connecting with two major
energy centers, the sun above and the center of the earth. There are many
different methods of tantra and yoga to awaken and evolve the kundalini
energy. There's water paths and there's fire paths. And one distinction
that some people make is the difference between an earth path and a sky
path. The difference is partly a difference in the quality of the energy.
Now, in some ways, the difference is only existent in our perceptions, but
there's also a difference to how the energy works, and how it affects
things. Become aware now when you open the crown chakra, and you bring the
light from above down inside of you, feel the quality of it. Notice the a
quality of it that's active and very very joyful, it's the light fluffy
bunny, happy, joyful energy.
Whereas, when you go into the Earth, and you bring the energy up from
the center, you find it has a very different quality. It's very still, it's
very deep, and it's very peaceful. Some people the first time that they
connect with a really good dose of the earth energy, they almost compare it
to depression, because it's so still, it's so different than the buzzy
joyful feeling of the sky energy, but it's not that. It's not sadness, it's
just a very deep still peacefulness. If I lay down inside the Earth, it's
like the peace of the child in the womb. There's a different quality to the
energy.
Now, related to these two subdivisions of type of energy, there are two
kinds of energy. One which is the air energy, which is referred to as chi,
or ki, or prana, and then there's also the Kundalini Shakti energy, which
is coming up from the Earth. Now, part of the difference between the two
energies is chi, for example, is used a lot in martial arts. It's used a
lot in a lot of different forms of healing. Later on this course, you'll
open your third eye, and you'll actually be able to see the prana particles
floating in the air. You may have noticed sometimes if you look at a bright
blue sky, or if you look at the air around a tree, it's like there's all of
these little swirling comets in the air. Those are prana particles, and the
trees actually manufacture those. That's why humans feel good in the
forest, because we need the chi of trees, and that's why we need the trees.
Now chi energy is not intelligent. Alright? Chi energy needs to be
directed. So when a Kung Fu master is ordering his chi to break a river
stone in half with his hand, he is the directing the chi, and he's telling
it what to do. So, chi can be affected by human thought. We can change it,
and we can alter what it does. It's the ambient life energy that things are
made out of.
Kundalini Shakti is very different, because you cannot tell it what to
do. You can ask it nicely, but you cannot control the Shakti energy. The
Shakti has its own intelligence that is infinitely wiser than any human
being. The Shakti is the God-force, the Goddess-force. It is intelligent.
So, when we're working with chi, for instance we're doing healing, or when
we are opening and drawing the light down inside of us, we're working on an
energy that needs to be told what to do. It needs to be controlled. If you
just send it out, it will feel good, but it won't... function, and do any
particular purpose.
Whereas, when I'm radiating the Shakti energy, I don't tell it what to
do. I just send it out, and it takes whatever form is needed by the
recipient. Since I'm not directing it, I don't know what form it takes.
It's the unconscious of the person who receives it, and their own Divine
guidance that decides what that Shakti shows up as. So for some
circumstances, like the grounding site, where I'm sending out Shakti, I
don't actually know how people are affected by that, unless they write back
and tell me, because that's not up to me. I just send out the unconditional
love, as a vessel, and the Shakti does what it wants.
It is the Shakti that we surrender to, because it is so much wiser than
we are. It is the wisdom of the infinite that is outside of time. Whereas
the prana, the chi energy, we just open it up and we let it in. It's the
vibration of sunlight as opposed to the earth energy that comes up from
below. Chi/Prana, Earth/Sky.
